About me:
Hi! My name is Aidan English and I am a freelance lighting designer and assistant based out of the NYC x NJ area.
I have always been drawn to lighting due to it's unique ability to create something from nothing. The ability to move from darkness to light.
Not only does lighting allow us to see the production on stage, but it can transport people through space and time, create mood, and draw us deeper into the story. Lighting also offers an escape, a medium to dream about what the world may look like.
I am also a proud graduate of the George Washington University in D.C., where I studied theatre with a concentration in lighting design.
While I am not in the theatre, you can typically find me reading a book, baking, or watching planes land at a nearby airport. Notably, I have been described as “charming” on Clear-Com.
